Shipton Weir lock

Seen here from downstream. This is an unusual lock, being shallow but with an extra-wide chamber to pass more water. This is because he stretch of canal above the lock is actually the River Cherwell. A similar arrangement, for the same reason, exists at Aynho Weir lock.
