Brentford basin
Brentford basin is almost surrounded by new development, the main exception being this canopied warehouse, dating from the 1960s. It is unusual (and possibly unique) in that the towpath of the canal goes under the canopy. At the time of writing (summer 2006) there is a planning row going on about its possible demolition. There is another picture of it in part 2 of this report.
The pontoon moorings on the left of the picture are long-term moorings, and the visitor moorings are on the right.
