Grove ornamental bridgeThe Grand Junction Canal skirted the town of Watford, passing through two aristocratically-owned parks. Grove Park was the seat of the Earls of Clarendon, and the Earl of the day insisted in having the bridge carrying his driveway over the canal built in this ornamental style.
