Cosgrove aqueductWe are about to cross Cosgrove (or Wolverton) aqueduct, which takes the canal across the Great Ouse. This (the Milton Keynes pound) is the lowest stretch of the Grand Junction between the Braunston and Tring summits. The aqueduct has a complicated history, and at one time it was replaced by a level crossing of the river, with flights of locks down each side. |
