Below the top lockFelis Catus III between the top tow locks at Stoke Bruerne. The double-arched bridge in the background dates from the project in the mid-19th Century to duplicate the broad locks on the Grand Junction by building narrow ones alongside them to save water when used by single boats. It's not clear whether this project (as far as concerns Stoke Bruerne locks) was ever completed. |
