Brinklow

With the arrival of competition from the Warwick Canals and the Grand Junction, the Oxford Canal Company tried to become more competitive st shortening and straightening the northern part of their route. Some of the loops that were cut off remained in use for a while to serve local wharves, and were crossed by roving bridges carrying the towpath of the main line. Here we are passing one of these at Brinklow.
