Sweeps top lock
This heron is sitting on the gate of lock 54, one of a pair near the centre of Berkhamsted. BW now call this one "Ravens Lane lock" (that's Ravens Lane on the bridge in the background) but the more historical name for the pair is "Sweeps Two".
