Ice-boat Laplander

Laplander started life in 1830 as an ice-boat on the Birmingham Canals and her steam engine was added later. Here she is underway just below Bascote locks, with George at the helm and Sean emerging from the engine room ready to lower the funnel for the bridge if necessary.
