Braunston Turn

We are heading along the Braunston Puddle Banks, a section that was built to cut off a loop of the original Oxford Canal, which used to go straight across beyond where the pair of bridges now stand. The bridge-hole on the left takes one onto the main line of the Oxford heading north, the one on the right to the cut-off loop, the surviving part of which is now the Braunston Branch and leads to the junction with the Grand Junction Canal.
