Apsley bottom lock
The downstream approach to the lock is spanned by this modern bridge which connects the housing development in the previous picture to the railway station. The mill building is just about the last survivor of the many old paper mills in the area, the work nowadays apparently being concentrated in a new works at Nash Mills.
