Towney lockWhen Towney lock was restored, a new lock with sheet-piling sides was built immediately up-stream of the old turf-sided lock which was left in situ for future archæologists. Here we are looking from the bottom gates of the new lock down the length of the old. Since this picture the lock-landing has been relocated downstream of the old lock. |
