Stewart Aqueduct
A marvellous conjunction of transport modes of different periods. We are on Telford's New Main Line of the 1820s. The aqueduct ahead carries the Brindley/Simcock Old Main Line of the 1770s. On our left is the main railway line between Birmingham and Wolverhampton, while over the whole lot goes a modern motorway.
