Anglesey Junction

Once upon a time the Wyrley & Essington Canal continued straight ahead here down a flight of locks on its way to Huddlesford Junction where it met the Coventry Canal. That line is now part of the Lichfield & Hatherton Canals restoration project.

Turning left here we join the Anglesey Branch, originally built as a feeder but up-graded when the Cannock Coalfield was developed.
