Salford Junction
Under the motorway we can see the towpath bridge over what was the Warwick & Birmingham Junction Canal, later the northern end of the Grand Union's line to Birmingham. Just out of sight beyond that, the Birmingham & Fazeley swings to the left to ascend Aston and Farmer's Bridge locks to central Birmingham, while almost straight ahead is the b beginning of the Tame Valley Canal.
The whole is enclosed by the motorway on one side and the railway on the other.
