City Mill LockLike Carpenters Road lock, this one was built as part of the flood prevention work of the 1930s and connects what were in 1992 the semi-tidal and fully tidal sections of the Bow Back Rivers. On this side of the lock is the semi-tidal confluence of St Thomas' Creek (the photographer's viewpoint) and the City Mill River (to the left). Beyond the lock under under Blaker Road bridge is the fully tidal confluence of the Waterworks River and the Three Mills Wall River. |
