Again we made an early start, this time at 06:36 in good weather again. We reached Llangollen, after a spectacularly beautiful stretch of canal, winded in the winding hole and came back a little way to moor near the water point .

We had breakfast, then went our separate ways sight-seeing, to the Horseshoe Falls, the Canal Museum, the Steam Railway and Plas Newydd. At lunchtime we set off back again, through Trevor, to reach Frankton junction at 19:21.

We made an even earlier start at 05:35, and passed through Grindley Brook locks mid-morning. At some stage during the morning I managed to knock myself out for a moment by walking into the counterbalance weight of one of the lift bridges, so when we stopped below Willeymoor lock for a pub lunch, I stayed on board and had a sleep. We moored for the evening at bridge 6 at Burland, at 18:45.

DAY'S RUN : 27.4 miles, 15 locks in 11 hrs 27 min
