Windmill End JunctionCobb's Engine House stands overlooking the junction. Originally the main line of the Dudley Canal's no.2 line crossed this picture from left to right in its way from Park Head to Lapal tunnel. When Netherton Tunnel was built, the branch through it arrived here under the middle of the three bridges shown, and the opportunity was taken to straighten the Dudley No.2 by making the cut in the foreground, thus cutting off a loop which now forms the Bumblehole and Boshboil arms. |
