Friday's start was at 07:15. We saw more heavy horses at the start of the day, this time with 2 foals. By Wednesfield junction the grot in the cut was getting worse, but there were some water-lilies of different colours. At Horseley Fields junction we barely managed to limp into the main line with a mighty bladeful. Once we did, the water seemed wide and deep by comparison with the Wyrley. At Factory junction we turned onto the Old Main Line, then the Dudley Canal to moor at the Black Country Museum. We visited the museum & went on the tunnel boat-trip into the Singing Cavern.
