Sutton's Stop

Hawkesbury Junction (also known as Sutton's Stop) is the junction of the Coventry and Oxford Canals. It's not the original junction, which was at Longford, nearer Coventry.

The picture is taken from the footbridge over the stop lock, which is on the Oxford Canal. The sharp turn under the roving bridge in the background of this shot takes on onto the Coventry Canal. The original line of the Oxford to Longford went straight in at this point.
