Wendy had come with me once before on a Barge Club sailing weekend, but hadn't enjoyed it because (a) it was a passage and we were out of sight of land for much of the time and (b) she found a full barge was rather two crowded with people for her taste. As neither of these two conditions was true of this trip, she decided to give it another try.
