s.b. Centaur
Centaur is the older of the TSBT's two barges. She was built of wood in 1895 by Cann's of Harwich for Charles Stone of Mistley. The TBSC (as it then was) completed a thorough restoration of the barge just in time for her centenary.
During the sailing season she is used mainly for Club weekends and for mid-week charters. I'd sailed on her many times on Club weekends, but as this was by first mid-week charter, this was the first time I'd chartered her.
