Harecastle tunnel
Looking back to the northern portal in Kidsgrove. We were the last boat in our convoy, and the next southbound convoy moved in as soon as we were clear.
Here the new tunnel is on the left and the old Brindley tunnel, disused because of subsidence, on the right.
