Old tramway

This footpath, which comes down from above the tunnel to join the towpath, is part of the route of the temporary tramroad that existed from 1800 to 1805 to carry goods from Blisworth to the foot of Stoke Bruerne locks while the tunnel and locks were being finished after the rest of the canal was open.
