City Mill Lock
Here the navigation turns left and changes its name to City Mill River. On the other side of the lock are the Three Mills Wall and Waterworks Rivers. At present these are fully tidal, but when Prescott Lock and its associated eater-control structures they will also be non-tidal and maintained at a level a little lower than the loop.
The lock is undergoing restoration. New hydraulically-operated gates have been fitted, at the expense of the developers of the nearby property. It just awaits paddle gear.
