narrowboats Arundel & Betelgeuse
This pair are currently working as subcontractors on the sand and gravel run between Denham and West Drayton. The motor, Arundel, is a modern-built narrowboat along traditional lines. Her butty, Betelgeuse, is a former Grand Union Carrying Company Star Class boat from the 1930s. They were at Canalway Cavalcade loaded with 50 tones of sharp sand.
