Historic Greenwich

Greenwich, once the site of an important royal palace, contains a lot of historic buildings, many of them to do with the Royal Navy. The two river-front wings with their domes belong to Sir Christopher Wren's Royal Naval Hospital, whose buildings are now shared by the National Maritime Museum and the University of Greenwich. Beyond them lies the earlier Queen's House (by Inigo Jones), with the original Royal Observatory on the hill behind. Both of those are also parts of the NMM.
