Limehouse Basin

Limehouse Basin

A view of the basin from the original Felis Catus when we were cruising there in 1979. At that time one corner of the basin was still in use. The cranes on the left are on Cohen's wharf, which still at that time took occasional deliveries of steel scrap by ship. Commercial Road lock is under the railway arch on the right of the picture. The 1838 railway viaduct was disused at the time, but now carries the Docklands Light Railway.
