Limehouse Basin

Limehouse Basin

This view shows Limehouse Basin during the 1997 Limehouse Festival. The tide lock is in the background left, with the polygonal Lock-keeper's Office to the right of it. The Limehouse Cut goes of to the left, and Commercial Road lock, the last on the Regent's is out of sight to the right. The boats on the left are on the visitor moorings. The marina on the far side of the basin is a permanent feature, but the narrowboats in the foreground, right, are on temporary moorings for the Rally. Since the date of this photo, a lot more buildings have been completed around the basin.
