Laburnum Basin was originally built as a coal wharf for a gasworks. It is now the home of the Laburnum Boat Club, one of several organisations on the Regent's devoted to giving children the opportunity of water-based activities, from canoeing to trips in their two narrow boats Opportunity & Lady Mildmay.
