This modern footbridge is in Willowtree Park, Yeading. Soon after the canal was built, this area was exploited for clay to bake bricks for the expansion of London. When the clay was worked out, the pits were used as land-fill sites for London's rubbish. More recently the area was landscaped as a water-side park, which is a good overnight mooring and is sometimes the venue for boat rallies.
