Paddington Stop

Paddington Stop

This is where boats had to stop to be gauged and pay their tolls to the Grand Junction Canal Company. The Regent's Canal Company had their own toll office on the other side of Browning's Pool. This former Toll Office is now the headquarters of British Waterways' London Region. The moorings on the right in the background are residential. The visitor moorings are opposite them.
