A new footbridge

This shows a new footbridge (opened Summer 2002) crossing the arm connecting Browning's Pool to Paddington Basin.

The new buildings are on the site of the former Paddington Goods Yard, and form part of the Paddington Central Development.

The road bridge in the background is Bishop's Bridge, which is due to be rebuilt in the next few years.

The re-opened towpath along this arm now connects directly to Paddington station.
