The Heinz factory, on the north bank near Willesden
Junction, was one of the survivors of the manufacturing industries that used to
be prevalent on parts of the Branch but have now largely been replaced by
service industries or housing. At the time of writing (May 2007) the site is in
the process of redevelopment.
On the other side of the canal, the land drops
down to the Old Oak Common railway sidings.
