North Circular Aqueduct

The North Circular Road aqueduct

At Park Royal, the Paddington Branch crosses the North Circular Road. The original aqueduct here was built in the 1930s without any interruption to canal traffic. Its replacement in the 1990s (when the road below was widened) caused a stoppage of many months. That's progress! The new aqueduct is in fact a double one with two separate water channels.
