The Bow River section of the Lee Navigation, between Old Ford lock and Bow Locks was dredged in the summer of 2000. Here the dredger is working under the Northern Outfall Sewer Bridge. BW happened to dredge this bit, where the work's obstruction to passing boats was significant, on the very day when a convoy of boats was on its way from the Three Mills Rally to the "National" at Waltham Abbey. As I said at the time , "Dredging mustn't only be done, it must be seen to be done".
