When I first knew this area in the late 1970s, this was the base of Grand Union Cruisers' hire fleet, with their offices in the house. The moorings were later operated by High Line Yachting. We moored Felis Catus II here in the first few years of our time with her. Most recently the moorings have become part of the new Cowlkey Marina.
The house has been extended and turned into a rather up-market pub/restaurant, The Turning Point.
