The vehicles came down two by
two, Hurrah! Hurrah! The forklift truck and the trailer loos
, Hurrah! Hurrah! The transit vans of burgers and buns, But the
icecream vans came down in ones, And they all came out of the carpark for
to get into the mud
The tractors pulled the others
in, Hurrah! Hurrah! With signs and tents and wheeliebins, Hurrah!
Hurrah! The crane it slipped right off the track. It took more than
swearing to get it back> And they all came out to the Fens for to get
into the mud
There were trucks with boats and
things that float, Hurrah! Hurrah! The marquee came with its very own
moat, Hurrah! Hurrah! Mobility scooters and golfing carts, And
folding bikes for the young at heart. And they all came out to the Fens for
to get into the mud
The water tankers came in
threes, Hurrah! Hurrah! To try and dispose of the Inland Sea, Hurrah!
Hurrah! They pumped and pumped with mighty thud. At the end of the day
they'd turned water to mud And they all came out to the Fens for to get
into the mud
The JCBs carried palets
galore, Hurrah! Hurrah! To turn the swamp into a floor. Hurrah!
Hurrah! Then the people came down from the town and the telly, Wearing
slippers and boots and sandals and wellies. And they all came out to the
Fens for to get into the mud.
