We took delivery of her in October 1990. Her vital statistics are as follows :- You will see from the photos that she is of the so-called "trad" style, although with the engine right aft and so no boatman's cabin. Her steel specification is 10/6/4 and her engine is an elderly British Leyland 1.8 diesel which we bought as reconditioned, but were rather disappointed with, so had completely rebuilt in 1997. We had her fitted with 2 permanent bunks and a convertible dinette/double berth and with lots of storage space for long-distance cruising. OUR NEW PAINT-JOB, Spring 2001Paint-job by Dave Young, photographed by Mike
Stevens. WE PART WITH HERAt the end of 2005, we sold Felis Catus II to Ian Wright, one of the team who had worked on building our new boat, Felis Catus III. For details of this new boat, see here. |
